Reece Byrnes faces a critical test of his integrity when Thursday’s council meeting considers a rescission motion to overturn the Jack Hallam approval for DA 16/0936. Councillor Byrnes voted in favour of approving the development application that would see his fellow Labor comrade benefit from a water extraction operation that will put huge water trucks on a rural road completely unsuitable for vehicles of this size and frequency.
The vote is at Thursday October 4th’s Tweed Shire Council meeting in the Murwillumbah meeting rooms.
We invite you to come and express your opposition to water mining in the Tweed at this meeting. Be there at 4pm.
Councillor Byrnes must vote for the rescission motion to overturn the approval.
